March 2021 – Traditional Irish Meal Served Up
The Friends partnered with Loomis Communities to provide a traditional meal of corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes to 275 seniors.
January 2021 – Community Partnership in Action
Fire Chief Todd Calkins and firefighter Perry McDonnell from Fire District 2 lend a helping hand in distributing soup and sandwich meals to seniors. The meal was prepared by the Yarde Tavern.
December 2020 – Operation Holiday Cheer
The Friends prepared and distributed over 300 gift bags and gift cards to seniors in town who live alone or are in need.
December 2020 – Ho, Ho, Ho….some soup and a popover to go!
Santa was on hand to welcome seniors as they picked up a soup and popover meal to take home as part of the Friends’ meal program.
November 2020 - Friendsgiving Turkey Dinner
450 meals were served at our Friendsgiving turkey dinner! This was a wonderful partnership between the Friends, the Orchards Golf Club and the Orchards’ Women’s Golf Association (OWGA).
July 2020 - Ice Cream Social at McCray's Farm
The Friends annual ice cream social was held in July at McCray’s Farm this year. 313 ice cream sundaes were served to seniors.
June 2020 - Stay Home, Stay Safe Bags
Friends contributed games, puzzles, and candy to the Stay Home, Stay Safe Bags
